Stowe Service Desk participates in ITIL Training with Polestar Simulation

As part of a strategic plan to equip the Stowe staff with ITIL principles and understanding, Stowe has recently undertaken a Training and Team building exercise through Polestar Simulation for their Service Desk team. A Polestar Simulation is best described as a role-playing session during which participants are exposed to some of the principles of ITIL (IT Service Management).

Procurement Liaison

Liaison between Clients, Business administration and procurement to ensure the correct products are purchased at the best possible price to deliver timeously on the contract.

Client Co-ordination and feedback

Feedback between Stowe and clients regarding dates, times, quotes, sign-off and any other related matters.

Installation

Managing the installation of products or software at one or multiple sites along a pre-arranged timeline.

Testing

Part of Stowe’s commitment is ensuring that any product being installed or integrated into a system is tested and that any research and development that has gone into the service is signed off.

Training

Ensuring that both staff and management are equipped to work on the systems provided to them to ensure best functionality and management control.

Cost Management

Managing staff and supplies to ensure that no additional costs are incurred. Also ensuring the process is complete prior to final invoicing.

Sign Off

Once any installation is undertaken the project is signed off to ensure client satisfaction and job completion.
